Hint Fiction Film Contest Call For Entries

We are proud to announce the launch of The Hint Fiction Film
Contest, brought to you by Vail Film Festival host Bill
LeVasseur, and official VFF videographer Michael Howard.
<div>

&#8220;Hint Fiction&#8221;, Edited by Robert Swartwood, is a collection of
shortstories by various authors (including Ernest Hemingway)
containing 25 words or less. The writer painted just 50% of a
picture and invited the reader to fill in the rest.
<div>

The Hint Fiction Film Contest invites filmmakers and media
artists to take it a step further and show an audience what they
imagine is filled in. Filmmakers from around the world will each envision
and create a different result. The catch? they only have one minute
of screen time to do so.
<div>

10 stories have been chosen from the Hint Fiction collection and
each contest entrant will receive two stories to choose between
to make their film. The top 5 films for each story will screen
at the 2012 Vail Film Festival and compete for the Hint Fiction
Film Contest top award of cash and prizes (minimum $500.00 value
). All finalists in the contest will receive two (2) Filmmaker
passes to the entire festival. Film contest takes place between
8/5/11 &#8211; 1/15/12 and concludes at the 2012 Vail Film Festival.
The Hint Fiction Film Contest is produced by TV host/actor Bill
LeVasseur and filmmaker/actor Michael Howard. Entry fee is only
$25. Visit the Hint Fiction Film Contest website HERE

SEEKING FEATURE FILM WRITER<div>

Production company looking for screenwriters to develop and write
several of the films we have outlined and conceptualized. We
have produced 8 feature films in the last few years, and our
slate of 5 new films is fully funded. We are looking for writers
who are into elevated genre pieces &#8211; we like understated,
minimal exposition, strong contrast in characters, lots of
subtext, great turns, buttons on scenes, dramatized backstory ..
. Ya know, great writing. Some films we enjoy are Memento, No
Country For Old Men, The Sixth Sense, Fight Club and Old Boy&#8230;
Please send synopses for screenplays you have along with a 10-15
page writing sample that has great conflict, unexpected turns
and demonstrates that you can hide exposition. The rate is $2500
- $10000 depending on experience, length of script and number of
re-writes. We are looking for a team &#8211; a long-term relationship
with people who not only develop and write our ideas, but bring
ideas of their own as well. We look forward to reading your work
